Wouldn’t it be cool if you could search video or still images by sketching a rough shape from a scene and having a search engine identify all frames that contain that geometry?

Although tagging seems to work reasonably for user-posted stills (like Flickr), I don’t think it scales to video and other rich media, especially where you’re only interested in a particular scene.
Yes – it certainly is still a bit hit and miss! I wonder if there are other similar projects about…?
